Where We Came From…

Wake Forest Family Eye Care was established over 23 years ago out of Dr. Bell’s desire to provide exceptional and personal eye care to the residents of Wake Forest. He considered Wake Forest a charming town, nestled wonderfully between the beach and mountains, with convenient access to multiple sports venues.

Realizing the tremendous growth potential of Wake Forest, Dr. Bell opened the practice in a small beige house on the corner of Wait Ave. and Allen Rd. His first location was an ideal spot for his patients to experience the personal and yet professional care he desired to give. Dr. Bell perceived every patient encounter, not merely as an eye exam, but as an opportunity to cultivate a relationship that will endure throughout the years.

Though Wake Forest Family Eye Care has grown into its third location of 7500 square feet, excellent customer service and state of the art eye care have remained hallmarks of the practice.

Where We Are 23 Years Later…

Wake Forest Family Eye Care now has expanded to also include Dr. McPherson and Dr. Ward who have enriched the practice with their knowledge of advanced ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, pediatric care, and management of binocular vision abnormalities.

A frame for almost every style can be found in our optical boutique, which has over 600 styles from brands such as Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, and Oakley, to imported lines such as Tag Heuer and LaFont. We can also fit and order most any standard or specialty contact lens to provide you with optimal clarity and comfort.

As a practice, it is our desire to exceed your expectations through our service to you in every aspect of your visit with us. When you first come into our office, you will be personally greeted by our friendly receptionists. They will ask for your insurance cards and invite you to fill out a simple form so that our doctors can ensure your best present and future vision. Next, our staff and doctors will work with the latest and greatest technologies to best assess and secure your vision and the health of your eyes.

The Doctors will complete your exam by discussing their findings; giving you their eye care recommendations and answering any questions you might have. If you need to change your glasses prescription, we are pleased to offer you a selection of over 600 frames and state-of-the-art lenses to best suit your lifestyle needs. Our optical dispensary extends their confidence in the product they sell by offering you a 2 year extended warranty on every lens or frame you purchase from them. Just in case your glasses are ever lost or stolen, we have a special discount for you in order to get you back into a frame you can continue to enjoy.

If contacts are your preference, please let our doctors know during the exam. They will fit you in the latest and most comfortable contacts available and are pleased to see you again just to make sure everything is as clear and comfortable as possible.
